The mind behind
NORINGO.
Ingo J. Kraemer combines the scientific instinct of a metallurgical engineer, the imagination of an inventor and the judgment of someone who has built real manufacturing capability.
Ingo J. Kraemer
A career defined by thinking differently—and building what works.
Ingo's professional work connects physical metallurgy, design, research and development, automotive production, manufacturing engineering and business ownership. He has pursued the same essential question across each discipline: how can this be done more simply, reliably and economically?
At Magna, he served as Chief Design, Development and Manufacturing Engineer, taking part in a five-year research and development effort beginning in 1989 to develop lost-foam casting technology toward full industrial capability. He also invented a patented lost-foam process for manufacturing an automotive air-conditioning rotor.
In 2001, he founded and owned Diversa Cast in Guelph, Ontario. The $65 million industrial project required the engineering of a full manufacturing operation, including plant layout, equipment selection, manufacturing processes and systems integration. Working with his team, he led that development from concept through implementation.
Ingo's intellectual interests extend beyond conventional automotive manufacturing. He developed an original mineral and rare-earth exploration approach, which he calls Divergent Flow, reflecting his tendency to question assumptions and investigate unfamiliar problems from first principles.
Today, he operates NORINGO as an independent consulting practice, offering the perspective of someone who has worked not just with drawings, technical models and research, but with the constraints and trade-offs of actual industrial production.
Why that background matters
Not theory alone.
Practical consequence.
The same engineer who can question a material's behaviour must also understand the effect on tooling, manufacturing flow, equipment investment and production output.
That is the advantage of experience across the full technical and industrial lifecycle: each recommendation can be assessed with the end result in mind.
The next step
Talk directly to the person behind the practice.
A founder-led conversation, grounded in decades of engineering and industrial experience.
