Experience behind the perspective

The distance between an idea and a plant is measured in engineering decisions.

Ingo J. Kraemer has worked across that distance: research and experimentation, patented process invention, design and implementation of a large industrial operation.

The milestones below are drawn from his first-hand account of his professional career. They represent past achievements, not claims of current customer engagements.

1989 — MAGNA

Research begins: lost-foam casting.

As Chief Design, Development and Manufacturing Engineer at Magna, Ingo undertook an R&D initiative focused on developing lost-foam casting technology for eventual full production-scale use in automotive manufacturing.

Engineering ambition / scientific foundation

1989–1994 — FIVE-YEAR PROGRAM

Transforming experimental ideas into production knowledge.

Five years of research and development explored the technical and manufacturing challenges involved in moving an emerging casting process toward robust industrial capability.

Research / process development / scale-up

PATENTED INNOVATION

An original rotor casting process.

Ingo invented a patented lost-foam casting process for an automotive air-conditioning rotor—an illustration of the creative engineering and manufacturing insight at the heart of his work.

Inventive thinking / industrial process design

2001 — GUELPH, ONTARIO

Founder and owner of Diversa Cast.

Ingo founded Diversa Cast, described by its founder as Canada's first lost-foam casting enterprise specializing in ductile iron and aluminum. He led the engineering design, process development, equipment selection and implementation alongside his team for a $65 million manufacturing facility.

Diversa Cast developed casting capabilities for automotive and engine manufacturers including Ford Motor Company and Detroit Diesel.

Founding vision / capital project / manufacturing capability

CONTINUING INVENTION

Independent thinking across disciplines.

Extending his inventive curiosity beyond automotive manufacturing, Ingo developed a mineral and rare-earth exploration methodology he calls Divergent Flow. The method reflects his interest in applying original reasoning across technical fields; its exploration results are not presented here as independently validated.

TODAY — NORINGO

Experience distilled into independent consulting.

Through NORINGO, Ingo now applies his combined experience in metallurgy, engineering, manufacturing and commercial implementation to clients seeking clarity on complex technical challenges.

Practical insight / independent perspective

What the experience demonstratesFrom discovery to delivery.
Invention

Original technical thinking

Developing concepts and processes rather than simply adopting existing methods.

Development

Technological perseverance

Understanding that process scale-up demands sustained technical experimentation and adaptation.

Construction

Manufacturing systems knowledge

Integrating equipment, materials, layout and process requirements into an operational design.

Enterprise

Commercial perspective

Recognizing that sound engineering must also work within business and economic constraints.

The next step

Experience changes how a problem is seen.

Bring the challenge to someone who has lived the journey from idea to industrial reality.
